I hope you’re all resting up today after some fun holiday celebrations. 2013 was a big year for me because it was the start of PaletteDining! Here are the top ten recipes on the site for 2013, judged by web traffic. Did your favorites make the list?
10. Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream Cake – A favorite of my dad’s, this cake is super easy to throw together and surprisingly contains no dairy. It could pretty much be your breakfast.
9.Cashew Cheese – What happens when you soak and blend cashews? Why creamy cheese of course!
6.Chocolate Pistachio Cake – My family tells me that, hands down, this cake is the best cake I’ve ever made. We’ve already made some variation of it twice over the break.
4. Flourless Double Chocolate Cake-in-a-Cookie – An older but popular recipe on Pinterest, this recipe is due for adaption soon. I plan to make a vegan version, and triple test it since some readers have turned them into brownies due to the texture.
1. Mom’s Apple Crisp – I’m a little sentimental about this one because this photo was my first to be accepted on Foodgawker. The recipe is a family favorite, crafted to excellence by my mom. I later updated the recipe to a vegan version, but I think the original is still my favorite.
